Law Firm Bernstein Shur Welcomes Attorney Emily Kahn
Kahn Brings Deep Renewable Energy Project Development Experience to Firm
PORTLAND and AUGUSTA, Maine and MANCHESTER, NH (AUGUST 16, 2013) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced the addition of Emily Kahn to the firm’s Energy Law Practice Group. She joined the firm’s Portland, Maine office as a shareholder.Image may be NSFW.

Kahn, a resident of Kennebunk, Maine, has more than 15 years of experience practicing law in New England. Her practice will focus on assisting in the development and operation of energy generation facilities.

Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Kahn was senior legal counsel at Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc. in Hampton, New Hampshire. While with Wheelabrator, she negotiated engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power purchase agreements, operating and maintenance agreements and acted as lead counsel on the acquisition of a waste-to-energy facility.
Kahn received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and her B.A. cum laude in political science from University of Rochester. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maine Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the state of Maine.
