SCARBOROUGH, Maine (July 30, 2013) – Crossroads, which offers Maine’s most comprehensive treatment for behavioral health with a gender-specific focus, will welcome a new executive director on September 30. Crossroads’ clinical director, Shannon Trainor, LCSW, CCS, was unanimously chosen as Barbara Dacri’s successor in a national search by the organization’s board of directors.

Barbara Dacri made the decision to leave Crossroads to pursue other business endeavors. “After twelve years leading Crossroads, I decided it was time for new leadership and for me to start a new chapter,” says Dacri. “I am proud of what I accomplished at Crossroads and am confident that the organization will continue to thrive and expand to serve those Maine women and men in need of treatment under Shannon’s leadership.”

Trainor was named Crossroads clinical director in 2009 and has overseen all aspects of the outpatient and residential programs and services since that time. Trainor’s experience and leadership within the organization will ensure a smooth transition.

“I am honored to be a part of such a great organization with skilled staff that are dedicated to the Crossroads mission,” says Trainor. “I am excited to have the opportunity to move Crossroads forward into the future, continuing to expand services and outreach to women, men and their families.”

Mary Anne Roy, Psy.D. will take over the role as clinical director. Roy is a licensed psychologist and has been a part of of the Crossroads clinical team since February of 2010 in the roles of counselor and assistant clinical director.
