Baker Newman Noyes experiences growth in Boston, Manchester and Portland
Nine people promoted and 17 others joined the firm in the past few months

BOSTON, Mass., MANCHESTER, N.H. and PORTLAND, Maine (November 7, 2013) – Baker Newman Noyes, one of the nation’s top accounting and consulting firms, recently hired 17 new employees and promoted nine others  in their Boston, Massachusetts; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Portland, Maine offices.

“Baker Newman Noyes is continuing to experience a great deal of growth and success. We are happy to welcome so many talented professionals to our team,” said Ellie Baker, managing principal. “We are also pleased to recognize several of our existing employees for their accomplishments and to position them for advancement within the firm.”

Boston, Mass. office

  • Olivia Lavigne, of Sanford, Maine, joined the audit practice after having interned with the firm in 2012. Lavigne earned her master‘s in accounting from Suffolk University.

 

Manchester, N.H. office

  • Eric Chabot, of Gorham, N.H., was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Chabot graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s in accounting/finance.
  • Sabrina Christian, of Mashpee, Mass., was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Christian earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Saint Anselm College.
  • Jon Forrester, of Belmont, Mass., joined the audit practice. Forrester earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Forrester is also an Air Force veteran.
  • Katie George, of Vero Beach, Fla., joined the tax practice. George holds a master’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
  • Maria Mann, of Abington, Mass., joined the audit practice. Mann holds a master’s in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
  • Amanda Pelletier, of Groveton, N.H., joined the operations team as a help desk analyst. Pelletier holds a master’s of business administration from Husson University. Previously, Pelletier worked in Husson University’s IT department, as well as the help desk at Bangor Savings Bank.
  • Aaron Telage joined the audit practice. Telage earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Anselm College and a master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
  • Lauren Tozlowski, of Tewksbury, Mass. is now a staff member in the audit practice. Tozlowski earned a master’s in accounting from the University of New Hampshire. Formerly, Tozlowski was an intern at Baker Newman Noyes.
  • Vanessa Valencia, of Manchester, N.H., joined the audit practice. Valencia holds a master’s in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Portland, Maine office

  • James Boissonneault, CPA, of Saco, Maine, was promoted to manager in the audit practice. Boissonneault earned a master’s of business administration from Thomas College.
  • Kathy Caron, of Fort Kent, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Caron has a master’s of business administration from Husson University.
  • Gisele Couturier, CPA, was promoted to manager in the audit practice. Couturier has degrees from the University of Southern Maine and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
  • Benjamin Dawson, of Cumberland, Maine, joined the risk and business advisory practice as an associate consultant. Dawson earned a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.
  • Shelley Duplisea, of Wells, Maine, joined the audit practice. Duplisea graduated from St. Joseph’s College. Previously, Duplisea was an intern at Baker Newman Noyes.
  • Michelle Harvey, of South Portland, Maine, joined the audit practice as a staff member. Harvey earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, cum laude, from the University of Southern Maine.
  • Spencer Hathaway, formerly an intern, joined the audit practice as a staff member. Hathaway graduated from the University of Maine.
  • Andrew Hopkins, of Waterboro, Maine, joined the tax practice. Hopkins has a bachelor’s degree in financial economics and accounting from the University of Maine.
  • Stefan Lange, CPA, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Lange earned a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Maine.
  • Danny Levesque, of Mashpee, Mass., was promoted to senior of the audit practice. Levesque earned a master’s in accounting at the University of New Hampshire.
  • Ling Lin, of South Berwick, Maine, joined the risk and business advisory practice as an associate consultant. Lin earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire.
  • Nick Norton, of Presque Isle, Maine, joined the tax practice. Norton earned a bachelor’s in accounting, summa cum laude, and a master’s in business administration from Husson University. Norton was formerly an intern at Baker Newman Noyes.
  • Nick Paquette, CPA, of South Portland, Maine, was promoted to manager of the audit practice. Paquette graduated from the University of Connecticut.
  • Sara Potvin, of Royal Oak, Mich., joined the audit practice. Potvin graduated from the University of Southern Maine, magna cum laude. Potvin is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
  • Jane Rankin, CPA, of Freeport, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Rankin graduated from the University of Maine.
  • Gabrielle Stanton, of Manchester, N.H., joined the risk and business advisory practice as an associate consultant. Stanton has a master’s in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
