Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution offers helping hand to Biddeford Free Clinic
BIDDEFORD, Maine (JULY 3, 2013) – The Biddeford Free Clinic, which provides outpatient medical care and prescription medication to low-income adults and children without insurance, recently received a $2,500 donation from a longtime supporter, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution.
“The Biddeford Free Clinic is extremely grateful for the support Saco & Biddeford Savings has provided for the uninsured in our local communities,” said Joan Gordon, executive director of the Biddeford Free Clinic. “The bank’s generous contributions for the last 19 years have enabled the clinic to maintain its consistent delivery of non-narcotic prescription medications for uninsured neighbors in Southern Maine.”
“We truly believe in the Clinic’s mission of helping those in our communities who need the medical help but just can’t afford it,” notes Donald Lauzier, VP/Director of Community Relations. “This very much reflects our mission as a mutual bank, which is giving back to our customers and our communities. We are proud of our long relationship with the Biddeford Free Clinic and will continue to support the organization and encourage others in the Northern York County area to support them as well.”

Dr. Francis Kleeman, founder and president of the Biddeford Free Clinic, and Joan Gordon, executive director of the Clinic, accept a $2,500 donation from Bernice Wood, SBSI Biddeford branch manager.
